Conditions across the Winnipeg River basin remained stable this past week. Snow accumulated mainly in the northern and eastern portions of the basin. Over the next seven days, precipitation is expected across the entire basin, with the highest amounts in the English and Rainy-Namakan sub-basins. Lake of the Woods is expected to receive comparatively less.

The current level of the Lake of the Woods is 322.49 m (1058.02 ft), a 15th percentile level, below the normal range for this time of year. The average lake level decreased 1.7 cm (0.7 in) over the last week and is expected to decrease by 1.2 to 1.8 cm (0.5 to 0.7 in) over the next week. Lake of the Woods authorized outflow is 250 m3/s with no changes scheduled at this time.

The current level of Lac Seul is 355.15 m (1165.19 ft), a 15th percentile level, below the normal range for this time of year. The lake level decreased 9.2 cm (3.6 in) over the last week and is expected to decrease by 8 to 10 cm (3.1 to 4 in) over the next week. Lac Seul authorized outflow is 325 m3/s with no changes scheduled at this time.
