The current level of Lake of the Woods is 322.78 m (1059.0 ft), the 40th percentile level for this time of year. The average lake level declined by 1 cm (1/2 in) over the past week and is expected to decrease by 2-5 cm (1-2 in) over the next week.

At Rainy Lake, the dam operators have scheduled a reduction in outflow for Saturday, October 29. To maintain a normal seasonal decline in Lake of the Woods level, the following outflow decreases are scheduled:

  1. Saturday, October 29: Reduction from 475 m³/s to 425 m³/s. The level of the Winnipeg River below Norman Dam is expected to drop by 12 cm (5 in) as a result of this flow reduction, with no effect expected at Minaki.
  2. Monday, October 31: Reduction from 425 m³/s to 400 m³/s. The level of the Winnipeg River below Norman Dam is expected to drop by 6 cm (2 in) as a result of this flow reduction, with no effect expected at Minaki.

The current level of Lac Seul is 356.13 m (1168.4 ft), the 25th percentile level for this time of year. The average lake declined by 3 cm (1 in) over the past week and is expected to change little over the next week.

Lac Seul authorized outflow is scheduled to be reduced from 285 m³/s to 225 m³/s on Monday, October 31.
