The current level of Lake of the Woods is 322.60 m (1058.4 ft), a 40th percentile level for this time of year. The average lake level was unchanged over the past week and is expected to decrease by 1 to 2 cm (1 in) over the next week.
Lake of the Woods authorized outflow is 225 m³/s. Outflow will be gradually increased to 265 m³/s between Sunday, January 30 and Thursday, February 3. The level of the Winnipeg River immediately below Norman Dam will gradually rise over this period by 7 cm (3 in). Moving downstream from Norman Dam, the river level rise will be smaller with no level change at Minaki expected as a result of the flow adjustments.
The current level of Lac Seul is 355.15 m (1165.2 ft), a 15th percentile level for this time of year. The average lake level declined by 9 cm (4 in) over the past week and is expected to fall by 7 to 10 cm (3 to 4 in) over the next week.
Lac Seul authorized outflow is scheduled to be reduced from 350 m³/s to 325 m³/s on Wednesday, January 26.
