Although local areas may receive meaningful precipitation, the underlying dry conditions will persist with forecasts indicating a return to very dry and warm weather later next week.  As a result, inflows to Lac Seul and Lake of the Woods will continue declining.  To balance summer lake levels and river flows as per the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwcb.ca\/noticeboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/LWCBStrategy2026Jun11.pdf\">Regulation Strategy<\/a>, outflow reductions will be required at both lakes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The current level of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lwcb.ca\/pdf\/LakeoftheWoods.pdf?v=1234\">Lake of the Woods<\/a>\u00a0is 322.96 m (1059.6 ft), a 55<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0percentile level, within the normal range for this time of year. The average lake level remained stable over the past week and is expected to remain stable over the next week. Gradual outflow reductions are underway, with Lake of the Woods authorized outflow <strong>decreasing to 345 m<sup>3<\/sup>\/s on Friday, June 26<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>.  Conditions will be reassessed next week and plans for additional gradual outflow reductions will be posted to this Noticeboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The current level of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lwcb.ca\/pdf\/LacSeul.pdf?v=1234\">Lac Seul<\/a>\u00a0is 356.02 m (1168.0 ft), a 45<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0percentile level, within the normal range for this time of year. The lake level increased by 6 cm (2.5 in) over the last week and is expected to increase by 2 to 5 cm (1 to 2 in) over the next week. \u00a0Lac Seul authorized outflow is scheduled to <strong>decrease to 325 m<sup>3<\/sup>\/s on Tuesday, June 30<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scattered showers and thunderstorms will bring some rain to the Winnipeg River basin on Sunday through Monday.
