The figure below shows the total precipitation over the last 3 days. This dry pattern has persisted since September 6th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/lwcb.ca\/noticeboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Untitled-1-1024x768.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1494\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lwcb.ca\/noticeboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Untitled-1-1024x768.png 1024w, https:\/\/lwcb.ca\/noticeboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Untitled-1-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/lwcb.ca\/noticeboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Untitled-1-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/lwcb.ca\/noticeboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Untitled-1-1536x1152.png 1536w, https:\/\/lwcb.ca\/noticeboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Untitled-1-2048x1536.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although there is some potential for rainfall in the forecast, with outflow reductions from Rainy Lake, inflows to Lake of the Woods are expected to continue decreasing, requiring further outflow reductions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The current level of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lwcb.ca\/pdf\/LakeoftheWoods.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lake of the Woods<\/a>\u00a0is 322.82 m (1059.1 ft), a 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0percentile level, in the normal range for this time of year. The average lake level decreased by 4 cm (1.5 in) over the last week and is expected to remain relatively stable over the next week, increasing or decreasing by 2 cm (1 in) depending on rainfall. Outflow reductions at Lake of the Woods will continue to slow the rate of level decline. Lake of the Woods <strong><em>authorized\u00a0outflow will decrease<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>350 m<sup>3<\/sup>\/s on Thursday, September 12<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>325 m<sup>3<\/sup>\/s on Monday, September 16<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>300 m<sup>3<\/sup>\/s on Wednesday, September 18<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scheduled outflow reductions will cause levels along the Winnipeg River to decline as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Directly downstream of the Norman Dam: approximately 5 cm (2 in) September 12<sup>th<\/sup>, 5 cm (2 in) September 16<sup>th<\/sup>, and 5 cm (2 in) September 18<sup>th<\/sup> for a total drop of 15 cm (6in) total drop by September 18<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Above the Dalles: approximately 3 cm (1 in) September 12<sup>th<\/sup>, 2 cm (1 in) September 16<sup>th<\/sup> and 2 cm (1 in) September 18<sup>th<\/sup> for a total drop of 7 cm (3 in) total drop by September 18<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The water level at Minaki will not be affected by these flow changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The current level of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lwcb.ca\/pdf\/LacSeul.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lac Seul<\/a>\u00a0is 356.31 m (1168.99 ft), a 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0percentile level, within the normal range for this time of year. The average lake level declined by 3 cm (1 in) over the past week and is expected to decrease 1 to 5 cm (0.5 to 2 in) over the next week.
