The average lake level decreased by 8 cm (3 in) over the last week and is expected to decrease by 3 to 6 cm (1 to 2 in), over the next week.  Outflow reductions at Lake of the Woods will continue to slow the rate of level decline.  Lake of the Woods <strong><em>authorized\u00a0outflow will decrease<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>575 m<sup>3<\/sup>\/s on Friday, August 30<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>500 m<sup>3<\/sup>\/s on Tuesday, September 3<sup>rd<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>425 m<sup>3<\/sup>\/s on Thursday, September 5<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The scheduled outflow reductions will cause levels along the Winnipeg River to decline as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Directly downstream of the Norman Dam: approximately 19 cm (7.5 in) with each outflow reduction, 40 cm (16 in) total drop by September 5<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Above the Dalles: approximately 10 cm (4 in) with each outflow reduction, 21 cm (8.5 in) total drop by September 5<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The water level at Minaki will not be affected by these flow changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The current level of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lwcb.ca\/pdf\/LacSeul.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lac Seul<\/a>\u00a0is 356.38 m (1169.2 ft), a 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0percentile level, within the normal range for this time of year. The average lake level declined by 2.5 cm (1 in) over the past week and is expected to remain stable over the next week. Lac Seul authorized outflow is 350 m<em><sup>3<\/sup><\/em>\/s with no changes scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The LWCB\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lwcb.ca\/waterflowdata.html\">Basin Data<\/a>\u00a0page will not be updated on Monday, September 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0(Labour Day).
